The Album that started a Genre

There has been much said about the erratic quality of modern day vinyl, but here's one that surpasses expectations. First let's acknowledge the great importance of this classic album, and how truely great it is. I actually had'nt heard it in many years, but when I laid the needle down in the groove, the dark and powerful impact of this masterpiece hit me like a ton of bricks. Every minute of this album is absolutely essential Black Sabbath. In this album you hear the strong blues roots of heavy metal, that has seemed to fade away over the years. "NIB" (Nativity In Black) is one of the great epic Sabbath songs, ranking up there with "War Pigs" and "Into The Void".
This Rhino reissue is really nice, faithfully restoring the packaging to it's original dark splendor, right down to the original green Warner Bros label on the vinyl. The sound is powerful and crisp, about as good as it gets for new vinyl. If you're a Sabbath fan and are into vinyl, you can't go wrong with this one. Highly recommended!

I forgotten how great vinyl sounds, when the rain starts holy crap! This was a xmas present to my son I am so proud he is discovering the great sound of vinyl and I am glad it is back. I don't care what anyone says MP3's ruin the sound, to really hear and see the music you have to listen to vinyl.
