When the battery on my Tom Tom Go died I fleetingly considered just buying a new one but I found a video on the internet of one being repaired, and thought it was worth a try. This battery plus a small toolkit to open up the Tom Tom was extremely promptly delivered (free shipping as I recall), and the battery was very easily swapped out over an hour's unhurried work. I played the video in front of me, pausing where necessary. As long as you're happy taking things apart and putting them back together, I wouldn't worry about this job. First class service, and so far (a month on) the battery performance is perfect

This battery is far too big to fit inside the Tom Tom Go530. The existing battery is a 1320mAh Lithium Polymer flat pack. I thought the newly purchased battery was a bit large for the size of casing and was intrigued to see how it would fit.

It was only after carefully opening the 530 (there are some good videos on YouTube showing you how to do it) that I realised the new battery is not for the 530.

I will write to the supplier and hopefully the specification for this battery will be updated

The original lasted 6 years this lasted only 8 months, I have asked for a refund as Amazon says i am out of a 30 day return period
