When I first examined these bin bags I was a little disappointed to feel how thin they were. Having said that, I have now used two of them and they did not rip open. They may appear thin but in fact I think they're perfectly adequate for average household use. I did not have to double up the bags, although I'd probably do so if I was leaving them outside on the pavement.

The size of each bag is quite generous. They come in five rolls of twenty bags so I think that will see me through a good few months! The rolls are fairly small which is ideal if you are short of storage space. Knowing that the plastic is biodegradable is also a plus factor if, like me, you are concerned about land-fill.

I would definitely recommend this product. If the bags were a fraction thicker I would have allocated five stars.

I've been using this product for years, for my kitchen bin, and for general rubbish clearance. The bin liners are a decent and generous size, excellent-quality and rarely rip. I think they are as strong as any regular black bin liners, but they aren't tough - they are designed for regular household waste. I've given this product 5 stars because it suits my purposes perfectly, and it's biodegradable.

There are a few of things to consider before buying biodegradable bin liners. Firstly, these bags cannot be recycled, because they are biodegradable, so they should not be used for recycling purposes. Also, if these bags contain wet items, and they sit around for longer than a week, i find that they tend to leak, but this doesn't become a problem if you change your bin liner frequently. Finally, biodegradable bin liners tend not to be suitable for long-term dry storage (i.e. for storing household items in the home) - I find that biodegradable bin liners tend to start to disintegrate after a year or two, if used for dry storage.

If you require a general-purpose household-waste bin-liner, that you will change frequently, then these do the job.

Surprised at their strength as they are not terribly high grade but they certainly do the job. Well impressed and good price
