Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this fastener to add onto the tripod coller of my Nikon 70-200mm f2.8. it is a solid connector and made of a single piece of steel and much more sturdy than the R2 that is usually supplied with the Black Rapid RS-7. I have used it on a D3 camera plus the 70-200 also SB900 speedlight and it can take the weight with no problems. I would not hesitate in recommending it to other Black Rapid users.
These fasteners are well designed and well made, allowing the strap to be used with multiple bodies and long lenses, even makes a good safety device when changing lenses in the field so you don't drop anything expensive. Good investment!

Expensive
Expensive but does the job and it looks like it will last. The Blackrapid sling system is excellent and my only regret is not getting one sooner.

Excellent
Bought as an additional fasten-r (always good to have a spare), quality is as good as the one that came with my rs-7 and as good as all black rapid products.
