It is metal and powder coated - comes with the appropriate screws. It is simple and just does the job.

I could only use three screws to secure my SSD. Mounting a drive to this bracket seemed troublesome due to the a slight shortage of space for the screws to sit. The bracket fit nicely into my case though.

There were so few details when ordering this I wasn't sure if it would be suitable for my system. Unfortunately it wasn't. My case has plastic rail attachements for 3.5" hard drives that fit regular hard drives no problem. The screw holes for case mounting on this bracket do not fit the regular 3.5" drive profile making it hit and miss if it will work you. I'm going to upload some photos to help others who may be considering this item based on cost. In the end I did use this, but I affixed it with a little more trouble than screws by using zip ties.

If you need a bracket, this works well.

I later found that some folks use sticky backed velcro to fasten the SSD onto the case of the computer. I'd probably do that if I needed another SSD.

This is one of the few brackets that can be used for mounting an SSD in the flat-panel frame of a Dell Inspiron 530. As such it does its job perfectly, but I was surprised to find the pre-drilled holes too small for the supplied screws, hence 4*. Following a quick drill-out, all was well.

I bought this to go along with a new SSD. After reading some of the reviews regarding the screw fittings, I um'd and ah'd a bit before deciding to bite the bullet.

I'm happy to say that all four centre screw holes do line up on my Samsung 840, although it only works if you don't fully tighten one screw at a time. Put all four in loosely and then start screwing them down.

I'm not sure what the point of the screw holes at the bottom edges are for as I can't see them actually being useful for anything. Maybe if you're mounting the plate from below and they're just there to fix it to some other point ...

The bracket does not line up with the mount points for either the 3.5" mountings or for the 2.5" drive being fitted.

The only drawback that screws didn't fit perfectly. As someone mentioned earlier, I was also able to use only 3 to attach my samsung 840 pro. But 3 is more than enough for such a lightweight device.

The holes for attaching adapter itself to case also wasn't ideal fit, but good enough to keep it in place.

Also, this adapter is probably the only one in Amazon, which can be attached to the ceiling of the case and it worked well in my case.
