The holes for the SSD work fine, however the holes in the side are not drilled correctly to imitate 3.5" hard drives, they are drilled for the size of bolt expected in the side of a 5.25" drive. So (I would guess) for most people this wont be able to replace a 3.5" slot as it does not have the same fixings as a 3.5" HDD.
My Antec 900 cant use it in the normal HDD slot but ive managed to secure it.

This is a pretty simple device, and it fails spectacularly.

The holes in the edge of the bracket do not fit "normal" 3.5" drive screws, they are too small and are designed to fit 2.5" drive screws.

With a bit of force and some tough screws from an ancient Dell I was able to enlarge and re-thread the screw holes but really...this is appalling.

In future I'll be trying one of the many other brackets.

I got this for a Dell Dimension E520 btx desktop, this particular design has 2 hard drive spaces and each drive has plastic runners allowing you to easily slide the HDD in and out. So replacing that for this bracket and a Samsung SSD should be simple. Well it would be except that this bracket mounts the SSD in the middle of the bracket and this means the SSD is about 2cm lower down inside compared to a 3.5" HDD.... this results in tricky cable routing. Anyway in the end I decided to mount it in the spare 3.5" floppy drive slot which it fitted into perfectly. So, you might want to consider using the spare floppy drive space as an alternative to using the exsiting HDD space.

For the price I think it's fine, just remember any bracket like this cannot magically make a 2.5" SSD drive replicate a 3.5" HDD with regard to cable routing etc.

The size of the bracket is ok, holes are where they supposed to be. The problem is what another buyers mentioned already - the holes can not take different screws than the ones which come with the bracket. If you remove old hard drive from iMac, you can not use the original screws. They do not fit. The problem is, the screws which come with the bracket are short, and you can not fit them properly. I managed to solve this problem like this (this is about fitting in iMac 24" Late 2006):

1. Bottom screws - use the new screws, put them from inside of the frame, so the ends are coming out through the bracket.
2. Top screws to hold plastic attachement - I used double sided sellotape to attach the plastic bit and then I wrapped around the plastic and the top of the bracket with normal tape.

Final result perfect, but it could be so much easier, if the holes for screw are in the same size like the screws for the hard drive.

All this above sounds very complicated, but if you will deal with fitting drive into one of the iMac I am sure you will understand what this is about.

The bracket itself is made out of a robust piece of black painted metal which connected to my 2.5" drive easily. However this initial build quality it was totally let down by the fact that the screw fixings to connect to the case were suitable for fine threaded screws only not the coarse threaded ones that normally are used for hard drives. This meant that the longer specialist screws required to connect through the rubber vibration mounts on my case would not fit. This required me to use self tapping wood screws instead - not a perfect solution. This product could easily be so much better.

Absolute rubbish do not waste your time. Waited ages for the item to arrive and then none of holes line up with the PC. Read this but thought you can't make such a basic mistake. Foolish me....do not buy.

Product accepted Samsung SSD and fitted in my desktop cabinet perfectly, using the supplied screws. I had none of the difficulties described in some reviews of wrong width or wrong screw threads.
