Well, I'm a big Walkmen fan. All I can say is that this album hits all the spots that the previous albums have too - dynamic, melodic, intelligent. Perfect music from Leithauser - he has to have one of the best voices around.
Superb - as I said, if you like the Walkmen this will appeal in exactly the same way.

This is just like having a new Wakmen album, given the personel that's not surprising. Hamilton has the greatest voice !

Like a lot of music on amazon not sure how I found this album, but I'm really glad I did. Lifted a few songs straight on to my playlist it sits nicely in a row with Townes Van Zandt,Leonard Cohen, John Martyn, Dylan, Cash, Waits, Walker... I know nothing about the Hamilton Leithhauser but do you really need to know anything about an artist if the music is this good. So if you're looking for something full of tracks that should be on your playlist for a long time then happy to recommend.

Lush, Lush, Lush...voice,tunes,arrangements...heart rendering ballards coupled with dark cheeky pop...absolutely brilliant..perfect pop, have never enthused over anything quite so much.lead singer is from/with The Walkmen,so if you know anything of them you will know the voice. It's not a huge departure from Walkmen albums within themselves, especially as several other band members play on this, what's difference is the range of style, and it's all the better for it.Hoping he will tour UK before 2014 is out, will definitely go to see/hear him solo on strength of this album.
