I often notice that the songs we hear as singles sound completely different than the rest of the album. If you accept an everyday life, this song is beautiful and exceptional. The modern type of a blues-inspired music, made with pop listeners in mind but sadly, with much more commerciality than it should. If you listen to the rest of the album "Eye to the Telescope", there is not much of a difference between tracks apart from the singles that are just great. "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" is what the audience wants - pop with something else to stand out. If you're used to Lady GaGa howling about foul and brutal sex in the radio or Beyonce's endless yells about the same thing throughout all three albums, you will find KT Tunstall's "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" an escape into a more real music or its initial stages, from what we hear everyday and sadly accept.

One of those songs on the radio you sing along to and then shout out the DJ when they don't tell you who it is or the title. Makes me wish I could play guitar. Never get fed up of hearing it.

K.T. - Seriously loving this track, and I don't know if there are many stars that would show you exactly how they play a song like she does! Check out her YouTube video, it's awesome!

I bought this to help me practice my part as a singer in a rock choir - and it's excellent. It works brilliantly in parts and we're performing it shortly.
