Book Description

Billy "Goldie" Goldean is the biggest pop star in the world and he's harboring a terrible, career-killing secret: he's gay. Even with song titles such as "Astral Glider" and "Winking Brown Eye," few question Goldie's squeaky-clean teen heartthrob status. That is, until Jethro "Jett" Black, an infamous womanizer and underground punk icon, names him in the pages of Rolling Stone magazine as the celebrity he'd most like to fuck.

After Goldie and Jett hook up at an industry party, Goldie's management dumps him, Jett's exes come back to haunt them, and even Goldie's mother makes a public plea for him to come to his senses. Goldie wants to trust his untamed new lover but the pressures of fame may tear them apart.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Male/male sexual practices.

5.0 out of 5 stars i adore this book! 16 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this!

I know others arent keen on 'instant love' story lines but that didn't quite happen here - Jett and Goldie had a connection from the beginning, even though they didn't realise it. And even before that they had admired each other from afar.

loved the story - I suppose my only consideration (and possibly what others didnt like) was the loved up speeches at times were a little long, but as the characters were so likeable I actually grew to love those speeches them by the end, especially when punk rocker Jett went on another amusing rant.

Jett is great - he's sharp and caustic but you know he's vulnerable underneath. And he's the perfect knight in shining, punk rock armour to rescue Goldie from the sleazy record execs.

Loved the visuals this book created - if you like rocker stories then definitely read it. Many laugh out loud moments, lots of fun, I can forgive Jett anything as he's so fab, and the sex scenes were hot, esp the final one. Hurruh!

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting beginning but it was a bit boring 23 Jun. 2011
By Emanuela PlasticDuck - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I don't know... It was a bit frustrating. First of all, they talked so much it was exhausting. While they were having sex. I kept wondering who is so coherent.

I appreciated that the author gave the two characters two different voices. Jett's was more clipped, dirty. Goldie's was more refined and ethereal, but not shy at all.

I like rockstars and I think the beginning was very good and interesting, but the plot didn't really hold my attention, you know, I couldn't help thinking about what's going on in my life, and that's a sign the book isn't doing enough for me. There was drama, but there wasn't a moment where I was afraid for the characters and their relationship.

I guess there were too stereotypical characters: the bitchy mother, the sleazy media tycoon, the not-talented and envious musicians, etc. etc. Jett, in his me-against-the-world attitude was missing a few layers of depth.

It was a cute and sweet story with an edge, but in the end I didn't really care for the characters. The cover is amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet romance but they talk too much! 15 April 2011
By Barks Book Nonsense - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Fabulously over the top romance between between a lipgloss/high heeled male pop star and a punk rocker. When they get together all is sweetness and light and off-the-charts hot sex. The only downside here is the fact that they talk far too freaking much. Yes, they talk like two young tween lovebirds about everything that pops in their heads. It exhausted me. Still, I loved them as a pair and will be on the lookout from more by these authors.
4.0 out of 5 stars awesome! 30 Sept. 2013

Sweet pop star meets bad boy punk rocker in one of the most convincing insta-love stories I've ever read. Dialogue was good and sometimes great (Jett has some great lines!), plot was enough to move things along, and the intimate scenes were HOTT!!! You will cheer for the MCs and a HEA all the way :-)
3.0 out of 5 stars Over-drama filled rock star m/m romance 4 July 2012

Rock stars? Check.
Rock Star antics? Triple Check.
Excessive drama and talking times infinity? Trillion Checks times ten.

Oh, there was so much that should have been edited from this story. I don't even care to name the issues I've had read it. Truthfully, Jett and Goldie talked so much, I'm surprised this wasn't a ghost story. Those two men could not still be alive after expelling so much hot air out their lungs. And it's not the characters fault because they were written this way. I love rock stars in fiction but if they talked this much in other books, I'd give on the genre on a whole. The concept of the story was great. The guys just talked too much to appreciate the underlying theme I think the authors were trying to portray. (I agree with another reviewer's complaint of Jett talking so much during sex that you forgot that he and Goldie were having sex.)

Please curious readers take this review as a CAUTION BEWARE.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved reading this one! 3 Feb. 2011
By Underwater Attack Cat - Published on Amazon.com

Ok, so I absolutely LOVE the cover art on this. I kept stopping every so often so I could go back and look at them. The story was really good, sex scenes really hot, tension and connection between the characters was tangible. Only negative I have is all the clothing descriptions felt a little much.
