I love this album. I love it double for being a double-album. I haven't felt so satisfied with a singer-songwriter's work (especially the writing) since I bought Shawn Colvin's first CD all those years ago. Bravo BLACK FLOWERS!

This album proves once again that a real talent shows through any kind of arrangement. Moreover, I find acoustic versions of many previously released songs to be emotionally deeper. The gentleness of the acoustic sound and sensitivity of the voice add intimacy to "A thousand lovers". Switch it on and picture yourself sitting by a campfire on a summer night surrounded by a few close friends. Let yourself then be enthralled by the melancholy on "Eight hour drive", feel the depth of sadness of "Black flowers". Every Lynn's album is a palette of emotions stemming from personal experiences. On this release it shows as never before. Try it.
