This BLACK & DECKER PAD1200 is a hand held vac that has the power for maximum cleaning performance and efficiency for the more demanding clean-up tasks. The PAD1200 is fitted with an extendable hose that enables easy cleaning of areas difficult to reach with conventional hand vacs, also for maximum flexibility to clean in hard to reach areas such as underneath cupboards, or on shelves overhead. Also the vac is fitted with a Cyclonic action that spins dirt away from the filter, maintaining optimum suction power and the double action filtration means the PAD1200 performs better and lasts longer. The side empty door is an easy to empty system which means all the dirt goes straight in the bin so your hands don‘t touch the dirt! I have used the PAD1200 for the first time today. It is very neat, flexible and light for easy use but it is lacking in any real suction. For light dust it is adequate, but it did not have the power to remove hairs or anything that was attached to the car fabric. It would be very useful if it could be plugged into a mains socket for more power.

These Black & Decker vacuum cleaners are very good but be aware that the 'Product Description' is just a little misleading.
The Description says "also for maximum flexibility to clean in hard to reach areas such as underneath cupboards, or on shelves overhead." - that is fine, but you would need a very long wire, as this version of the vacuum cleaner gets its power from the 'Cigarette Lighter Socket' of your car.

This product does what it says and is a good light weight vacuum for cars. I did think of getting the re-chargeable one first but glad I didnt as all that charging time for 10 mins use and it took me 10 mins to give my car a good clean out. I recommend this as a good to have item, certainly saves getting the house vacuum out to the car and all the hassle of power leads. If you want a car vac, go for htis and get it from Amazon, good price and quick delivery.
