Product Description

Ciel Phantomhive is the most powerful boy in all of England, but he bears the scars of unspeakable suffering. Forced to watch as his beloved parents were brutally murdered, Ciel was subsequently abducted and violently tortured. Desperate to end his suffering, the boy traded his own soul for a chance at vengeance, casting his lot with the one person on whom he could depend: Sebastian, a demon Butler summoned from the very pits of hell. Together, they'll prowl the darkest alleys of London on a mission to snuff out those who would do evil. They're a rare sight, these two: the Butler who dismembers with dazzling cutlery and the Young Master who carries the devil's marking. Rest assured that wherever they may be headed, it'll be one hell of a ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money! 9 Oct 2011

Having read six volumes of the Black Butler in its manga format I was quietly surprise to enjoy the anime. There are fourteen action packed episodes which delves into Ciel Phantomhive and his mysterious butler. The bickering between Ciel and Sebastian is very entertaining as they try to outwit one another while fighting evil for Queen Victoria. Brilliant use of colour and scene sequence. Plus the English dubbing is not noticable at all! The dvd allows all the characters more room to grow than in the manga. I would really recommend this to people who have loved the manga because it is definitely worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Hell of a butler! 30 Aug 2011
The story of Ciel and Sebastian in-bedded into the Black Butler story is brilliant a story of a demon forced to serve a boy, but to learn why and how he serves his master you need to buy this DVD and learn for I don't wish to ruin the experience I had of watching the mystery unfold. It is not a whirlwind of action but there are moments of such brilliance, moments that make you think and connect with the story. I can assure you it is a series worth purchasing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't expect much, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! 24 Aug 2011

I actually found this anime thanks to Amazon recommending it too me, as soon as I saw the front cover I instantly recognized some characters I saw some people cosplay as at a comic con, so I decided to purchase it.

It's basically about a boy who traded his soul with a demon who serves him as the most loyal and amazing talented butler anyone could dream of.
As he's a demon you can expect a dark and twisted side about him whilst being rather humorous, he gets rather upset/disappointed when he can't get something perfect or dinner on time.

There are some other funny characters that live in the mansion who look up to Sebastian, but they're extremely clumsy, the maid you'll either love or hate as she has a very stereotypical cockney accent which I personally find hilarious.

Overall, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it, for those that like dark anime's like Death Note, then you'll probably like this one.
