The 'glass like' lid locks to the body for a water tight seal and has an ingenious sauce dipping area (good for sushi lovers). A sauce pot is ideal for salad dressing (or ketchup), so you can dress your salad just before you eat it. An inner dish allows you to split different foods so you can microwave a hot dish, but keep other foods cold. Also included a fork / knife for easy one handed eating. This handy lunch box is made from polypropylene and copolyester, includes sauce pot, inner dish and fork and is microwave and dishwasher safe. Black+Blum are an Anglo-Swiss partnership who joined forces in 1998 based in London, the European heart of design. That Clasp... EDIT - hopefully solved....,

EDIT: 29/04 - An e-mail received from the company acknowledging the design flaw and asking for details so that a replacement, made using different materials, could be sent (following an e-mail sent on 27/04). Great to get a response, review amended!
For something which seems so otherwise sturdy a clasp which breaks after less than two weeks of occasional use is dreadful, particularly given the price. Enormously disappointed (but not hugely surprised) to see something which puts such a premium on its design being let down by such an obvious design flaw.

A joy to use while it lasted.... But one of the hinges broke after using it twice rendering it useless. The whole lid is held on by these tiny plastic struts that appear to simply snap. The designers need to look at this as it's not worth having at the moment.

The attachment for one of my clips broke too after less than 1 month. Now I have to hold it closed with a rubber band which kind of negates its high design look.
