Book Description

An intimate tale of love, sex and loss.

What happens when the line between love and despair is blurred? Sabrina must find out if she has room in her heart for both. Her devoted, disabled husband has planned a Valentine’s Day to remember. Her biggest surprise – that unrestrained passion can heal her deepest wound. If Sabrina can let ecstasy wash away her pain, she will have been given the most valuable Valentine’s gift of all: a love that endures through eternity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly as the title says - Bittersweet. 14 Jan. 2013

I liked this book VERY much. The title says it all, it is a bittersweet story. I won't retell the blurb, but I have to say it worked. The emotional piece was huge. Where Keith and Sabrina were in their relationship made what happened with Evan believable. You could feel the weight of the emotion throughout and the sex scenes were just a bonus on top. I loved it, I'd recommend it, but know it's not a quickie, it's got too much meat on it for that. Looking forward to By Surprise.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously?! 12 Feb. 2013

This is THE worst "romantic" novel I have ever read in my entire life. Lets say you marry someone, your marriage consists of have amazing sex, and your spouse gets into an accident and loses mobility of their legs. Realistically, would the now handicapped husband honestly say, "Darling, I can't have sex with you, so here's my assistant Evan"? Not in a million years. Would a woman of dignity and character actually sleep with a guy after being instructed to by her husband knowing he had an inoperable brain tumor? NO! There is nothing romantic about this at all, its sick! What spouse jumps on the opportunity to sleep with another person when they know their husband or wife is dying?? Absolutely ridiculous book. This "writer" needs to go back to college, if she ever attended college at all. If it weren't for the ridiculous story line of a soap opera that would surely get canceled on any tv channel, the book moved along WAY too quickly with the use of middle-school adjectives and articulation. Wish there was a negative star rating available. No wonder why this book was just a dollar!!

4.0 out of 5 stars interesting concept 5 Nov. 2012

The only reason for the four stars instead of five was the length of this story. I felt the author had alot of room to expand the story to a full length novel. All that said, it was a really good book. It made me cry, need I say more for a romance with a hea.
