Product Description

Product Description

My name is Tanith Quinn and I'm a five hundred year old vampire, trying to live every day to the fullest. I might have cheated Death, but he's always one step behind me, ready to take me into his cold embrace.

I've been lucky so far, but no one's lucky forever.

Female vampiric business owners are dropping like flies in a snowstorm and the Arcadian Council are in town to find out who's killing them. As the owner of one of the hottest clubs in the city, you'd think I'd be worried about being a target.

Wrong.

Instead, I'm framed as the killer and the only thing I can do to escape execution by the Council is to find the murderer myself.

Partnered with an old enemy who'd like nothing more than to see me dead, I must clear my name before any more vampires die.

Because the next head to roll just might be mine.

I love all of Fionn Jameson's books. She is definitely one of my fav authors in the paranormal, urban fantasy genre. Her heroines are realistic, the men are awesome, and the dialogue is always sharp and witty. Bite was a great sequel to the first book and kept me on the edge of my seat to the end. I can't wait to read Wolves and Brimstone, the next book in the series. If you haven't already, check out Fionn's Centennial City books.
3.0 out of 5 stars Expected more, but an entertaining read 25 Dec 2013

After readig Waiting for Darkness (the first one of the series), I was expecting this to be better. Sadly, I gotta say, it is not. Don't get me wrong, the story is amazing. I actually find it interesting, but something is off. I think Jameson just needs some more experience in writting. She sometimes makes an amazing scene with good descriptions, but then....nothing at all. I can't seem to connect with the characters. I cannot empathize with any of them. I can't say anything about the characters other than two or three characteristics or behaviors. The scenes are hard to picture most of the time. This series, with more work, would be amazing, seriously. The story, like I said, is good and it has a good development, but it is just too rushed. I am going to wait for the third one to be better because I really want to know what happens in the rest of the series. Jameson, I'm counting you will make a better job next time because your story has potential...it really does.
5.0 out of 5 stars This Girl has ATTITUDE! Love it! 6 Dec 2013

This book is the second installment in the Blood Martyr Series. It takes off right after the last book "Waiting for Darkness" leaves off. Our hot witch is still in the hospital and our super hot alpha is smitten with our heroine. The previous books' actions lead to huge consequences for Tanith. She is faced with a rock and a hard place choice (no spoilers!) and does the best she can to save herself and save others from a homicidal vampire bent on revenge. We see some new characters enter the story who help Tanith in her endeavors - the question we are left with is whether that was a good thing or not. Overall the story was really good, fast paced, with witty dialog, kick ass heroine and hot guys. This installment had very little action (to none) in the bedroom department. As far as the editing and grammar goes - the author should definitely proof read and edit - it's a bit annoying, but doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the story. Definitely worth reading!

3.0 out of 5 stars Takes a certain type of reader 26 Jan 2014

The book was ok. I mean, I got involved in it & it kept me reading until the end, but at the end I was kind of like, what in the world was that? There was spelling/grammatical errors (which tend to drive me crazy), and I don't know, its stupid to say about Vampires, Werewolves, Witches & Demons, but it just didn't seem realistic. And it talked about stuff that I had no clue what it was. I may just be a naive reader... I think to the right person, this would be a great book, but its not for me.
