This is the first time I've seen the series straight through, and three hours just flew by! Without doubt, this is one of the funniest series I've ever seen, and what makes it funnier still is how much of the jokes of 1992 still apply in 2006. It even advertises on the blurb that Fry and Laurie rip on the US, and they do it with such apparent ease, panache, and (frighteningly) accuracy.
Check out the songs, such as You, You, You, performed primarily by Fry, dressed as a cross between God and Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame. The (in)famous Kickin' Ass, with Laurie as a Johnny Cash-type and Fry as a hillbilly! Of course, Hey Jude, in chipmunk and bullfrog voices, the return of The Bishop and the Warlord, and Laurie's Mr Music playing out the episodes as Fry mixes (more or less) strange and even banal concoctions.
There are new characters along with the vox pops that will make you happily watch the show again and again. By and large a great and worthy buy.
