Product Description

Product Description

The BISSELL Cleanview Proheat carpet cleaner is a highly specified full-size upright carpet cleaner featuring many of the benefits seen on larger machines, but with a lighter weight.

With Microban tank coatings, six rows of cleaning bristles and our patented built-in heater, this carpet cleaner offers a comprehensive specification that will help restore your carpets to their former glory.

High specification without the weight
A deeper clean

The Cleanview Proheat’s six row rotating powerbrush will remove ground in dirt, lift stains, remove odours, and can help to restore the original colour and spring of your carpet’s pile. Your home will look clean and smell fresh – without the upheaval of bringing in contract carpet cleaners or indeed the expense of buying a new carpet.

Why deep clean?

Deep cleaning your carpet regularly can help prolong its life as vacuuming alone cannot reach the dirt and ground in materials that vacuum cleaners simply cannot reach. That’s because most vacuum cleaners only reach about half way down the pile of your carpet, allowing grit, dirt and allergens to become embedded in the carpet base. These then wear away at your carpet backing and pile and decompose, creating unpleasant odours. Your carpet is almost certainly the largest piece of fabric you will ever own, and it needs the same cleaning regimen as your clothes, upholstery and other fabrics in your life to avoid premature wear and unpleasant smells.

Only Deep Cleaners reach all the way down your carpet
The right machine for your home?

The BISSELL Cleanview Proheat is an ideal choice for medium to large sized family homes, especially those with children or pets, where sticky hands, muddy paws and unfortunate accidents can quickly leave your carpet looking tired and abused. Approved by Allergy UK, the BISSELL range of carpet cleaners are the only ones to have been independently proven to reduce Cat, Dog, Pollen and Mould Spore allergens from your carpet, it’s a useful choice for homes where allergens are a concern. The BISSELL Cleanview Proheat carpet cleaner is also designed for quickly dealing with smaller spills and stains, removing them from your carpet before they can dry in and become more of a problem.

Deeper cleaning, quicker drying

In days gone by, carpet cleaning was a messy, tiresome job that took the whole day and left most of your home out of bounds for hours if not days at a time. The powerful suction of The BISSELL Cleanview Proheat is concentrated to remove as much liquid as possible, leaving your carpets dry enough to walk on in just a few hours. The wide suction path and edge sweep brushes allow for cleaning right up to the edges of your room, there's less risk of leaving a dirty stripe along the skirting where other cleaners cannot go.

Ideal for medium to large homes
True heated cleaning

Unlike machines which simply blow waste motor heat onto the cleaning solution and brushes, the BISSELL Cleanview Proheat features a built-in water heater. This monitors the temperature of the water as it passes through the machine and, if necessary, heats it by up to 25 degrees Fahrenheit so that your carpet is always washed with hot water, giving consistent cleaning results throughout your home, even if the water in the tank has cooled down while you are cleaning. This heater is thermostatically controlled, so it only heats the water when it needs to and only the quantity needed.

Designed for convenience

The BISSELL Cleanview Proheat features tank-in-tank technology to keep the clean and dirty water separate. You fill the inner polyethylene tank with hand hot water and a measure of cleaning formula, and as the water level decreases, the tank shrinks to allow the dirty water to be stored around it in the outer tank. As the twin tank is situated in the base of the machine, the centre of gravity is kept as low as possible to improve manoeuvrability. The tank features a three position handle that changes from locked to carry and then to open so that you can empty and refill the machine in one simple action rather than having to carry separate tanks to and from your sink.

Quickly and easily switches to above ground cleaning
More brushes equals better cleaning

The Cleanview Proheat cleaning head comprises of a rotating powerbrush roller featuring six rows of bristles. These spin at a carefully regulated speed, gently massaging the cleaning solution into your carpet and parting the carpet pile to allow the carpet shampoo to penetrate deep into the backing of your carpet where the most harmful dirt and allergens are embedded.

Floors and more at the flick of a switch

The Cleanview Proheat features a permanently attached extension hose, with a simple one touch switch from floor cleaning to tool cleaning. Two hand tools are included with the machine. The tough stain brush is ideal for stubborn stains or small spills, and the crevice tool allows you to get into awkward spaces on upholstery and in car interiors.

Simple to set up, easy to use

The Proheat has been designed to be easy to assemble, use and clean. A single Philips screwdriver and about 10 minutes of your time is all you need to put it together, and filling the machine ready to use only takes a couple of minutes more. Simply filler the inner tank with hand hot water, add a measure of the supplied Bissell Wash and Protect carpet and upholstery cleaner – specially formulated carpet shampoo that contains Scotchgard, and you're ready to go. BISSELL Wash and Protect carpet shampoo is formulated, tested and manufactured by BISSELL to give optimum cleaning results, whilst also adding a protective layer of Scotchgard every time you wash your carpet. It is safe for use on all types of carpet, including pure wool. The Proheat features a quickly removable nozzle for ease of cleaning after use, and the tank-in tank is simple to rinse out with warm water to remove any debris.

I did some research before i purchased this machine, but the main thing i liked about it was the pro heat, which keeps the water at the right tempreture, where as the majority did not. It arrived very fast, and was very easy to assemble, just needing 2 screws to hold the handle on. The instructions were easy to follow,it was self explanatary really just looking at the machine. It came with a small bottle of cleaner,so i prepared it by filling the inner bucket with hand hot water from the tap & added my carpet cleaner to the inner part of the bucket, which has a bladder type bag, which allows the dirty water to be kept seperate from the clean.now for the job,i decided to do my hallway, which was quite soiled, there is a trigger on the handle which releases the chemical & moving the cleaner once forward & backwords puts the chemical on the carpet, then moving the cleaner backwards & forwards sucks & brushes the carpet throughly. Well all i can say is WOW,WOW,WOW,my carpet came up like new & it was virtually dry,as i took my time & kept going over it,till i could not see the water sucking it up. The dirt in the bucket was a dirty brown, well i was shocked, all i can say is i was glad i was the only one in the house to see it!.next i did the stairs, using the hand held nossle cleaning tool which comes with it,all you do is turn the dial on the front of the machine to tools!.The brush does not rotate, however the suction is very good,it has a trigger which again releases the carpet cleaner, well again the carpet came up like new & the clean smell was lovely, i won't go into to the colour of the water,as you will start to think all sorts!!,ha-ha.all in all i am so happy i bought this,my home feels clean & it is clean.Read more ›

Max Maclaren review is spot on.
This machine is just brilliant, a doddle to use and the results are wonderful.
Have a dog so I used Bissell Pet Wash and Protect to clean my carpets. I could not ask for more.

Amazon price is brilliant also and delivery was very quick.

Let me start by saying this thing is amazing. I borrowed it of my mother to do our tiny living-room carpet, which hasn't been done in years and has had all manner of things spilled on it, not to mention the stuff the cats have brought in and let "soak in" to it. The carpet looks new again after using it, but in all seriousness: life is too short, just pay someone to do it or move house or put new carpets down; anything but this.

It's weight makes it a bit of a beast and so you're due for a good workout when you use it; it's too slow even for the cats to be scared of - I'm sure I ran over one at one point. It took me over two hours to cover a 3 x 4.5m area: I started when I was 28, and I was 35 when I finished. I was so bored at one point that I actually caught myself watching the magnolia drying on my freshly-painted walls - don't get me wrong, the water looks awesome as it gets sucked through the see-through plastic things but the novelty soon wears off. It was shortly after this that I realised I'd mown football-pitch stripes into the carpet in an effort to subconsciously amuse myself; I don't even like football - If I did, I would have been at a pub somewhere watching some with a pint and getting on with my life.

It cycles through the clean water tank pretty quickly too, meaning you need to refill it a lot. I ended up refilling so much that I gave up with the cleaning-fluid measuring cup and adopted the "Spanish bar tender" approach to "measuring" it out straight from the neck of the bottle. Aside from this, and having to pick the remains of my dilapidated carpet out of the brushes and filters every thirty seconds, it was a dream. My carpet has never looked better; the wine stains have gone; the mouse stains have gone. I was amazed at how much filth we'd been living in over the years, we may as well have been sitting in the garden.

It looks brilliant now it's done, but I'm making my wife do it next time. It's good to share. :-)

Ok, I'm giving this four stars so here's why. It does the job on short carpet and on my 90% wool medium pile carpets upstairs. Almost finished the entire house after buying this a week a go for just under £200. Last time I did the lounge (2 years ago!) I hired a Rug Doctor which worked great. This thing I think works similarly. Can't say if it's better of worse than the big Rug Doctor. It's a LOT lighter for sure. But I think the detergent capacity is quite small I have to fill up at least five times to do a medium sized room in my terraced house. Also I noticed after I bought this model that the heater does not raise your watrer temp by as much as some othe rmodels. I htink it's only 14 degrees C. No problem really given your water capacity is low and you are supposed to put "hand hot" water in it to start with. The machine has quite a powerful motor I think compared to lower-end Bissells (maybe 1400W?). I found it sucked up most of the water it sprayed onto the carpet no problem. Obviously medium-pile carpet remained "wetter" than short pile. And the water coming back showed really how dirty my carpets were! I had not shampooed upstairs ever - so 4 years of dirt up there. First time the machine fluffs up a lot on medium pile carpets and you have to pick this up but that's no problem. The stairs attachement you get works ok. It just sprays fluid on, allows you to scrub it in with the attached brush, and sucks it up. No mess but not as effective as the real carpet cleaner business end with its mechanised brushes. Overall, does it clean carpets well? Yes it does! I wonder though how well a lower end Bissell might compete given that water heating seems not very useful on this model....
