Format:Audio CD
Came across this by chance over drinks with a new house-mate (thanks Adam). Wonderfully sparse blues - beautifully recorded. Fink's fragile and tender muses put me in mind of John Martyn and Emiliana Torrini, same kind of feel and sentimental vibe. I was hooked by the fourth or fifth listen...

I didn't know what to expect with this album when I bought it, except that it was going to be wildly different from his earlier work. After hearing this its hard to believe his roots lay in downtempo electronica. Fink's 'Biscuits for Breakfast' is to my mind an English Jose Gonzales 'Veneer' and with his undesputed success of late, this is certainly no bad thing. This album largely comprises of his voice with an accompanying guitar; hense the obvious comparison. There is no weak track on this album, every listen swaying me to a new favourite tune. I feel compelled to spread the word about this album to ensure he writes another of the same ilk. I would be amazed if anyone was disappointed after buying this, so wait no longer and treat your ears to his fantastic sound.

I don't need to be 'in the mood' to listen to this album, and I don't have to skip past any tracks. From start to finish, I love it!
A great sound on CD, and even better live - if you get the chance, definitely go see them, Pretty Little Thing rocks ;-)
Can't wait for the new album...
(...so will have to make do with the Mastercard ad for now!)

Fink!!!
The first four or five tracks are top draw especially the Alison Moyet cover, but a little weak towards the end. Good addition to any CD collection though worth buying.

Not jose gonzales
I think to label this album as being the english version of jose gonzales is a bit like saying baseball is the same as cricket because a 'ball' is hit with a 'bat'. Read more

lovely mellow sounds
