This is the second collaboration between Bobby Bird (Higher Intelligence Agency) and Geir Jenssen (Biosphere). After the success of "Polar Sequences", a recording derived from the sounds around Biosphere's hometown, Tromso, in Norway, they decided to record something based on HIA's, in Birmingham.
If you are at all familiar with the city, then the track titles will be instantly recognisable: Cannon Hill (Park), Gas Street Basin, Augusta Road (Moseley) and the Rotunda are all well known places.
The music combines the minimalist genius of Biosphere with the delicate beats and gentle melodies of HIA, constructed from and overlaid with sounds and recordings from Birmingham: children playing in the park, ducks quacking, even a burglar alarm, to make something that is uniquely atmospheric and very mellow. Whenever I listen to it, it just makes me think of warm sunny afternoons in the park and late nights in Moseley.
Buy it now before it disappears forever!

I love ambient / atmospheric music and this now ranks as one of my favourites. It is well worth a listen; believe me if you like music of this genre.

Beautiful, evocative ambient soundscapes from two of the masters of the genre.
