This is a great book to own if an existing Birman owner or a new one like me.
I brought the book prior to getting my two Birman kittens and found it so useful. The section on making your home cat friendly and safe was particularly useful. It gave me tips I would've have never even have thought about. Plus as a first time Birman owner it gave me a lot of background information and also general care advice.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok, 21 Jun 2010

Is a good book about cats, it has a brief history but I had expected more that was relevant to the breed, behaviour etc, it looks as if it has been altered slightly (mainly with pictures) to create different books on different breeds, infact I'm pretty sure that is the case. Not a bad book though if you are getting your first kitten/cat or have one but don't know an awfull lot about them. 9.5/10 for a cat book, 5/10 on the breed, they have included history.

The book was OK but did not give enough information. As a product its appearance, content, and presentation looked old-fashioneded and needs updating.
