I first borrowed this book from my local library for watercolour painting and was so impressed with the content I ordered my own copy through Amazon. The illustrations are very detailed from which it is easy to draw and paint. I don't think it has improved my painting as I still struggle with all the feathers, but it is a joy to use every day and I think it would make a lovely gift for a bird lover; or to introduce a youngster in birds. It does not require batteries on Christmas Day!!
