Interesting text, but not what I expected, 30 Dec 2010
By A Student "A Student" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Birds and Beasts in Needlepoint (Hardcover)
The book was published in 1989.
The contents are:
Early Textiles (medieval,Elizabethan)
The Elegant and the Exotic (Victorian interpretations of Indian and rococo)
Folk Art (Interpretations of Americana and Georgian English)
Victoriana
Twentieth-Century Embroidery (needlepoint)
The text is quite interesting as are the pictures, but the best projects are not charted, not even the projects on the front and back of the dust jacket; pages 116 - 119 "helpfully" display kits for sale.
The projects that ARE charted are very simple and mostly uninteresting.
I won't buy another Hugh Ehrman book without close examination beforehand.

I re-acquired this book with this purchase. It arrived right away and the packaging was excellent. I had sold this book a number of yrs ago and am so glad to have it back again. I have completed Ehrman projects in the past and they are really amazing with their use of color. I just like looking through the book as it is a work of art.

This book came in unused condition. It even had the dust cover. I am working on one of the projects in the book now. This book was purchased at Amazon.com
