Product Description

Cameron and William - Normal guys, family men. A secondary school teacher, a solicitor.
Pillars of the community.
Friends, Victims, Vigilantes.
They're trawling the newspapers, the world wide web, hunting for people that the world can do without.
But there's no night class for that, no certificate to say you're getting it right.
They might be making mistakes, they just don't know.
Either way, they're in over their heads.

Meet Lizzie.
She's got a new man in her life. She's prepared to put up with just about anything, just as long as he doesn't ask her to dinner.
Eating's not really Lizzie's thing you see.

Detectives Phillips and Mullins. 50 years on the force combined, been there, seen it, got the T Shirt.
You'd think so wouldn't you?
But now there's people turning up dead on their patch.
Strange murders . . . you should see how strange!
And the victims? They all had a rap sheet - nasty pieces of work, all of them - crimes against kids, sick, would turn your guts.
And on top of all that, some boy's been abducted from the local school, snatched right off the street, looks bad.
Surely someone must have seen something . . .

4.0 out of 5 stars Slow starting thriller 3 Jun 2012
By Mole TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an unusual thriller; two men are targeting people that they feel have escaped justice and are meting out their own form of retribution. The story contains some quite graphic violence; but it also tries to offer some insight into the way that the killers think. They are not just casually picking people at random, but are performing what they see as an execution of those whose actions violate the trust of society.

The story does start quite slowly, but then the pace escalates as the men are potentially faced with capture. The characters are nicely developed and well thought out; there is a back story that is slowly revealed as you get further into the novel.

I found this a really intriguing read, and after about a third of the way through, I really couldn't put it down. I would have given the book 5 stars, but I have marked it down as there are a lot of transcription errors; spelling mistakes, and a few page / paragraph issues on the ebook. I wouldn't mind one or two, but there are far too many to ignore, particularly towards the end of the book.

Not suitable for younger people, but a very good story; a really interesting plot.

4.0 out of 5 stars A thought provoking and interesting read 10 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
A really good thought provoking read, and despite the fact that the storyline is about two vigilantes seeking out and destroying child molesters and murderers, there is no gratuitous violence in this novel. The characters are sympathetically drawn and believable and the storyline flows really well. Unlike other readers (according to reviews) I didn't have any difficulty in working out who was who. The only thing I wasn't sure about at first was the title of the book ~ it seemed rather odd but then I looked it up and it all made sense.
There probably isn't a reader out there who hasn't thought or said what they'd do if they came face to face with a pedophile in a closed room, especially a pedophile who had harmed a child they knew. So it's hardly surprising that readers experiences a dichotomy of feelings ~ disgust at the torture and murder of the villains, yet a guilty secret pleasure at feeling that their particular brand of evilness has been extinguished by the vigilantes.
Definitely worth 4 stars ~ buy it, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Distressing subject....great read! 12 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Having read the other reviews I was looking forward to reading this and I wasn't disappointed. The book was very well written, you could almost feel the pain of the two main characters. The chapters jumped from character to character so you had to keep reading! (not that it was a problem). It was free when I got the book however I would have gladly paid. I can't wait for the author's next book! Happy reading!!
