Product Description

Product Description

There is increased environmental pressure on birds and the response has been a revival in creating nesting boxes and feeders for them in domestic gardens. This book combines the DIY expertise of Alan and Gill Bridgewater with the knowledge of bird expert Stephen Moss. There is informed advice on the nesting and feeding habits of birds, and helpful hints on how to attract them to your garden. The 11 practical projects are accompanied by information on their suitability for different kinds of birds, on siting and on construction, plus step-by-step photographs, diagrams and easy-to-follow text.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice enough book, but . . ., 3 Oct 2009
By J. Mero (Norway) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The book has some nice ideas and pictures, but some of the ideas are almost eyesores.
However, the price is fair, and the presentation nice, so I have no qualms as such to recommend it.
However, it is American, and has very little useful information on how to make boxes for specific birds.
Would I buy it if I had known what it was really like beforehand? For a European bird enthusiast, most likely not.
