The Biosync B-50DL answers the physician, medical, home health care, sports and aviation markets' demand for a lightweight, inexpensive monitor for measuring SPO2 oxygen saturation and heart rate after physically active and high-altitude activities. The Biosync B-50DL finger pulse oximeter offers the user a greater ability to monitor these vital signs under motion and is less expensive than most available devices.
The Biosync B-50DL Finger Pulse Oximeter is very small, lightweight & measures blood oxygen saturation (%SpO2) and pulse rate. The B-50DL operation is based upon a uniquely patented algorithm that use dual 'see-through' sensor technology for the accurate measurement of blood oxygen saturation levels and heart pulse rate. Please note however that the B-50DL will NOT monitor SPO2 during activity and movement. You must stop the current activity and take the reading while stationary. Movement will cause readings to be affected by artifacts

My irregular heart rate (atrial fibrillation) can be monitored wherever I happen to be. This monitor clamps comfortably onto my index finger and continuously monitors my pulse when in place. The LED display is clear and it also gives an indication of the pulse strength and a measure of oxygen in the blood.
I am never without it - and I even took it with me to Cardiology to check it against their pulse monitor - both read 51 beats per mnute.

I'm a GP, and like some other reviewers, I remember when these cost £500. This works as well as others I have used - perhaps a little slower than some, but fine. I'll be interested to see how long the batteries last as it has an LED display and more expensive devices use LCDs. (But all sats meters use LEDs for the actual measuring). Durability - who knows? But I've used much more expensive devices that fell apart in a couple of years. At this price you can't go wrong, and I'm buying one for every clinical room at our large practice.

This is a very useful piece of kit for high altitude walking/climbing, helping you see how you have acclimatised. It is small and light.

Good value for money
It does the job fine but of course it does nt have the quality you d see in more expensive products. Nevertheless it is an overall good choice as it has all the basics.
