This is the third instalment movie of the Bionicle franchise and goes into the deep past of the Turaga's tales once again, after finding a new home for the still sleeping Matoran, the Toa Metru return to Metru Nui to free the Matoran and evacuate the City of Legends. However the city has been more badly damaged to the spider rahi type Visorak moving in and the Toa Metru are then infected with Hordika Venom and transforming the Toa into half-rahi and half-toa: Toa Hordika. Now they must learn how to use the new abilties to rescue the Matoran while evading Sidorak and Roodaka the leaders of the Visorak and searching for a being called Keetongu who can cure the toa.

The third Bionicle film is much better than the second film as it uses more CGI effects, more fighting scenes are added, the Bionicle's themselves look more alike their toy line products. However there is one thing that has changed, the film itself is incredibly darker and sinister than the previous two films as more frightening music is used and sinister characters like Roodaka who act more cruel than the other films.

Overall, Bionicle is recommended to all but with a caution, just because it's Bionicle and has its own toyline, the film is much darker and sinister than the first two films, but apart from that, enjoy!

We had the first movie for some years and I recently realised there were several more. We are collecting the series and we are happy with the films. The stories are easy enough to follow and the graphics always look good. We love movies and these are good to watch together.

The Bionicle movies are a bit dark - but the kids seem to like them. That said, they help the general level of interest in the Lego toys and encourage my son to design and build his own Bionicles.
