On receipt of the humidifier I was pleasantly suprised how small the unit was yet was advertised as having roughly 4 litres water reservoir. This lasts all night as long as the setting is not turned up to the maximum. Set up is very straight forward and is not awkard.
When turned on the little orange light illuminates and the motor kicks in which compared to my previous humidifier purchase, is whisper quiet. I'm quite a sensitive person to background noise, however, the workings of the unit does not disturb and the water filling the base occasionally can be slightly relaxing.
This is a cold mist humidifier but in the morning my toddlers bedroom window is lightly misted so it must be doing something positive to her breathing while asleep. The whole point of requiring a humidifier was to negate the dry atmosphere created by the central heating system in the winter. So far, so good, it seems. She is starting to get her first cold since purchase, so this should be a good test of whether it aids her hacking cough while in bed (I think it known a croup).
One thing I would say about the placement of the unit is that when using it on a table or unit to place it at the edge as the table top can get quite wet if the mist falls during operation and could cause damage over time to furniture.
Overall, satisfied with this purchase and would recommend.
