This is, basically, a very smart looking fan heater that also can serve as a focal point in a room.
The practical aspects are that it has a thermostatically controlled fan, with timer, on the rear of the unit facing upwards. The temperature can be set at anything from 18 to 30 degrees centigrade (or just on continuously) with an on period from from 2 hours to 12 hours (or always on).
The 'coals' are made of glass pebbles, you get both clear and opal pebbles. The instructions say to put in one or other, but I've put in both together and it is fine.
All can be controlled by a remote control (you need two AAA batteries as these are not supplied).
Putting together, for floor mounting is very easy and no tools are required. It can also be wall mounted using the supplied template, screws and wall plugs.
As it is now summer, I haven't used in anger yet, however I expect it will come into its own come the Autumn when I can't be bothered to light the coal fire when the central heating is off during the day.
In terms of looks, it is very modern, so you might want to consider this when judging if it is right for you.
