I've had mixed experience with these walkie talkies. I've ordered 3 in the past, 2 which I had to return with the same problem - the button to press to speak into the walkie talkie broke. However on a major plus side, Amazon have a wonderful return goods service. I had never used this before but I was very impressed indeed with Amazon. One set was immediately replaced and the other refunded with postage paid etc - excellent. I would persist however, my boys really have a lot of fun with these items. Stephanie, Glasgow

Bought these for my friends kids for christmas, they looked disappointed when they opened them, however after an hour I had my friend on the phone to say that they were driving her mad as they were taking them everywhere they went that day, they took them out in the car about 6 miles and still had a good reception, definately well worth buying.

this works well up to 3km, they're small and compact so easy to carry around out and about, very useful for outdoors as well as indoors, only down point it requires AAA batteries, i would suggest to buy the other black/silver variation model which includes a charging dock, only down point about that is it takes 8 hours on the first charge! Still great for the out and about! Easy to use also.

Very good at a budget
Used for a week fishing in France. On all the time and only had to change Duracell batteries once. Range seemed pretty good. Tried all around the lake. Upto 600m range.

Walkie talkies
These talkies are really easy to use and very clear. Only drawback is the range. Said they worked up to miles but in fact only had range of @100 metres
