We bought this to use in our special need daughter's room. The first good thing is that it is not too babyish. It's design is not too out of place in an older child's or adult's room. The monitor itself works fantastic. The screen is very clear and the sound both ways is perfect. The night vision is amazing. I can go into a completely dark room and not see the bed but the monitor sitting in another room can see everything clearly. This really is a good system and worth every penny.
