Easy to set up and crystal clear sound. I would advise anyone to buy this product instead of forking out loads on a more expensive monitor.

We bought this baby monitor today from Toys 'R' Us. I was a bit hesitant at first because other monitors with the same features (e.g. Digital, Night Light, 2-way Talk, Temperature Display, Sound Indicator LEDs, Paging and Lullabies) were considerably more expensive. However, I have had experience of Binatone telephones and these have always proved reliable and up to the job so I took a punt on this baby monitor.

On getting it home I was very pleased to find the components were of good quality and attractively designed. The buttons and display are very clear and intuitive and the small guide book has concise step-by-step instructions (although the text is a little on the small side).

When I set it up near our son's cot I found the microphone was sensitive enough to pick up his breathing and there were volume controls on the baby unit as well as on the parent unit. I also tested the lullaby feature (this isn't a feature I particularly wanted) and was surprised to hear the 5 preset electronic tunes were actually quite pleasant to listen to. It will be interesting to see if these tunes do have a calming effect.

Other features include the ability to program in a feed timer so the parent units will alert you at times you set to remind you to feed your baby (again, this isn't a feature we need, although it may be useful for some). You can also set up the parent units to give an audible alert if the temperature moves above or below a pre-set temperature range.

All in all, this a great value monitor that I would highly recommend.
