Very impressive stuff ! I havn't seen anything as well thought out and put together as this in a long time , especially for this age group . The story is fun and informative , with great playing on the CD . Amazing quality for this price range . Highly recommended .

Since getting Billy's Band for my two daughters, i haven't been able to get them to read anything else. They especially love listening and singing along with the cd. The story is great and the characters keep the girls interested in the story. My eldest loves Tom the trumpet player and now wants to learn the trumpet. I recommend this book to all parents with kids who want to learn a musical instrument. Brilliant!!!

I bought Billy's Band for my Children's Music Group and I (and they) love it. It's a really well written and illustrated book that totally engages young musicians. There's a great CD that would be brilliant for classroom use (about years 1 to 5) which is really approachable but never dumbed-down. Music from Bach through Debussy to some nice jazzy stuff with great playing from top professional musicians. There are lots of musical games too and a 'Musical Terms' section which forms a good foundation for secondary and GCSE music. Thoroughly recommended.
