very good CD with just one drawback.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Billy Elliot (Audio CD)
I enjoyed listening to this CD very much. The tracks of T Rex music especially took me back 25 years. The one disappointment that I felt was that the orchestral tracks such as the music to which Billy danced and Michaels secret song had not been included. This seemed unfortunate as I am sure other people would have expected them to be on as they were such an important part of the film. This gripe apart I think this is a CD well worth having.

An inspiring mix of British rock and pop.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Billy Elliot (Audio CD)
An inspiring mix of definitive British rock classics including two Paul Weller influences, the Style Council and The Jam, along with The clash and much more talent. Also including the talents of Boyzone's Steven Gately in one of his first solo ventures.A definite must for any Weller fans. One of the best CD's around for relaxing and reminiscing if you're twenty-something, it's light and easy to listen to with excellent pieces of dialogue from a truly excellent British film.

Great music, but does anyone know how to rip it for your ipod?,

This review is from: Billy Elliot (Audio CD)
I bought this CD years ago and have enjoyed listening to the upbeat music, and also the spoken parts, especially when Billy's dad says "FOOT-ball... boxing... wrestling..." - a classic movie moment! ;>
I agree with some of the other reviews in that it's a shame not all the wonderful music from the film is on the CD, but unfortunately that seems to be the case with so many CDs of film (and TV) soundtracks (although there often seems to be a few "ring-ins" - songs which were meant for the film, but didn't make it onto the screen, or perhaps just in the final credits!) That said, I can't listen to these guaranteed mood lifters without wanting to dance - and I dare you not to bop along too! :> My only complaint is the version I have is an "enhanced CD" with the movie trailer: this in itself is great, but I can't rip any of the songs for my ipod. Ironically, the "bonus" movie trailer imports fine. Has anyone else had this problem and/or does anyone out there have any suggestions!? I've done a bit of a surf and I can't see a way around this problem - and I don't really want to buy it as a download when I already have the CD!
