Whilst the concert down under was very funny, the American concert was obviously tempered for the stricter regulation on what could and couldnt be said.

I saw an advert on TV about this box set. My partner adores Billy Connolly and this was an ideal gift for him for the New Year.
I certainly wasn't disappointed that I purchased it. And neither was my partner - he loved it. If you love BC then I recommend buying these DVD's as a gift or for good entertainment. The quality is superb and the delivery super fast.

Billy Connolly 2009 Boxset: Live 2005 (New York)/ Was It Something I Said? (2 Discs) [DVD]
I received this for Christmas back in 2009 but I didn't watch it until this week. For Christmas this year I recieved the 2010 Live London DVD. I watched the 2010 one and really enjoyed it so I straight away opened the box set. I was very annoyed to hear a good lot of the material from 2010 on the 2006 performance. When I watched the 2005 performance there was material from both 2010 and 2006. Yes, there was stuff repeated within the box set. If you split the 2005 gig into four quarters one part is new, one part is he used again in 2006, one part he repeated in 2010 (I even think there were jokes that appeared in all three DVDs) and the last part was featured in his Live in Dublin DVD from 2002 (and it wasn't the first time I heard it then).
I really like Billy but it's made me think twice about buying any more.

If you are a Billy Connolly devotee this double DVD is excellent value for money, and well worth investing in.

Nothing worth viewing or New Years eve! Put a DVD on to while away the hours left before 12!
