Billy 'Bubbles' Brown is a fantasy adventure written in rhyme for the four to seven year olds and is about a character obsessed by bubbles that goes on a long journey in search of Bubble Town. Ten short stories complete the book together with colourful illustrations.
The positive reaction I got from children, friends & family after writing the first story of my book and a dream to see it in print in a bookshop motivated me into writing more.
What makes Billy Bubbles Brown unique is that the story is in verse unlike most children's books and while there are many nursery rhyme and poetry books on the market for children, these are made of very short rhymes. The use of rhyme and simple structure will both appeal to young children which they will easily understand and relate too, children like bubbles, they like the fun fair, the seaside, the circus, all of which are in my book and more.
The cover is bold, bright and is a nice size that makes it easy for children to hold and carry in school bags and it's a good book for reading out loud particularly in a classroom environment.
Billy Bubbles Brown is my first book, however I am looking forward to the possibility of adding to the series in the future.
