I have been doing Tae-bo on and off for the last five years or so, and have recently got into it again in a more disciplined (i.e. 3-4 times a week) way. I started with the 30 minute Basic workouts on other DVDs such as Energize and Get Ripped, but after a couple of weeks I was already finding them too easy. However, the hour-long Advanced workouts were still beyond my abilities.
This is where Tae Bo: Celebrity Sculpt comes in. At 45 minutes, it falls nicely in between Billy's basic and advanced level workouts. The fast pace and more demanding moves make it more challenging than the basic workouts, and Billy includes several combination moves which can be hard to pick up on the first attempt, but it is not as difficult as the advanced workouts, which tend to leave me in a heap on the floor!
Some reviewers dislike Shellie in this DVD (Billy's daughter), but I find her quite inspiring. Unusually, the only low point in this DVD (and the reason for giving it 4 rather than 5 stars) is Billy himself. Although he is certainly his usual motivating self, for some inexplicable reason in this DVD he starts to try to "dance" and "rap", which is nothing short of cringeworthy. Granted, it makes me laugh, but not in a good way! In all, though, if you enjoy Tae-bo and are looking for an "intermediate" workout (by comparison to the Basic and Advanced Tae-bo levels), I would recommend this DVD to you.
