I am a big fan of Billy Blanks and own a number of his DVD's. I already have the Taebo ab workout which is part of a box set so it was good to purchase the Ab Bootcamp to make a comparison. I would say that the Ab Bootcamp is just as good. An interesting incorporation of new moves which are not featured in the original Taebo Ab DVD. I wouldn't say it is the hardest workout I have done, but it definitely hits your abs and you will break out into a sweat. All in all a worthwhile investment. You can never really go wrong with Billy Blanks; he is one of the better instructors out there where DVD's are concerned.

im one of these stubborn people who want to try every fitness dvd targeting the abs as its my main problem area, especially after baby...and i have tried quite a few but gave up because either i was bored or didn't see results quick enough to motivate me. i was abit skeptical at 1st but i decided to go ahead and buy billy blanks' ab bootcamp dvd and see what it can do 4 me. to be honest i was blown away. its a half hour dvd which starts off with abs sessions standing up. they are somewhat challenging especially if you don't get the technique right. excellent for getting your heart going, excellent warm up, cardio for fat burning and excellent for sweating....cos you really do! at the same time working the abs. the next session is the floor work. now this section is what i do everyday at home. its my favorite as i find it really hits the spot and the exercises are challenging with deep pain but its good pain. billy is a good motivator and his technique of getting the students to count out loud really helps me to keep up with them. at first i couldn't but now i can keep up till end. the floor exercises really do leave you feeling that you have worked out and to tell the truth i have seen a massive improvement on my belly! i would recommend that if you're serious on losing that belly fat and tone it, then you should do both sessions. i just don't bother to do the 1st part because i run on the treadmill before i do the floor work. i should warn you and let you know that billy's students are vey very fit and in fantastic shape and all of them have the perfect flat toned abs we're after. so if this will demotivate you to use this dvd, i suggest you don't waste your money buying it because you will never use it. also i would advise you to just keep up once you start. even if you find it challenging at first, if you do it over and over it will soon become much much easier. i can now do some exercises that i couldn't even do before and thats only because i was sure this would work if i actually do it!. it keeps me motivated not to give up because it shows me that somehow my abs are getting stronger, flatter and toned. the instructions recommend you do it 3 times a week but if you're like me and you want those abs flattened n toned quickly, try to do it everyday even if you just do 1 session a day. this will keep your abs in check and your muscles will get stronger day by day.i do my floor work everyday because its only 15mins and i find it makes me feel good after i finish. I'm not recommending you do the same. just do what feels good and comfortable for you. if you do decide to try and do it daily maybe breaking it down to 1 session a day isn't a bad idea.i highly recommend you do the floor work if you haven't got time to do the whole thing. overall, well worth it n because it works the whole abs area, you won't need to do anymore stomach exercises unless you want to. have fun
