I loved this book. I read it in a day as couldn't put it down. It is amazing to see some of the studies that simply show no correlation between the effectiveness of statin drugs and cholesterol. It was also very interesting to see the whole issues of fats, cholesterol, diabetes and blood glucose being exposed by the lack scientific data despite (what we are told). I found myself laughing at quite a few points during the book where the author points out some of ludicrous situations the organisations that champion cholesterol etc have got themselves into by contradicting themselves on their own websites.
I have read a fair few books on nutrition but often the text is heavy going, goes way too scientific or cites random pointless studies. In this book the text is clear and concise. The language explanatory yet humorous and references studies that show population wide results. The author takes a balanced approach on the evidence researched so far, which as the other review points out is against the cholesterol industry / theory. However you get that this view is from the evidence before us rather than clouded by a personal bias or mission to prove something like you get in other books.
