Based on the ever popular Hadley Original, the Hadley Pro is essentially its mirror with added features. A carrying handle is integrated with a stiffner into the top flap. The weight of your gear is not carried through canvas holes that could wear out, rather they are attached to a fibreglass stiffner and the weight is supported through that. A waterproofed zippered back pocket is very useful for tickets, magazines, manuals or any other flat document. The facility to add extra capacity with our AVEA pouches rounds off the bag nicely.
It has a fully removeable insert and features adjustable Quick Release strap into brass buckles, bellowed front pockets with press-stud fastenings and a double darted main flap which covers the mouth of the bag when closed protecting it from rain and weather elements.
The fully adjustable shoulder sling is sewn under a leather side patch, which provides the facility to attach AVEA side pockets. The AVEA03 is the nicest looking fit as they are slimmer and match the side profile of the Hadley Pro. However, the AVEA05's will also fit if you need extra room and are less concerned with aesthetics.

I've been looking for a bag to use as an everyday 'man bag' and as a personal item to accompany my carry on bag when flying. I have tried many. many bags and discarded them. Now I have the ultimate bag.
As it's from Billingham the quality is superb and the bag looks stunning. But that on it's own does not make a good functional bag. You can get it in Sage, Tan, or black - the tan version looking the part for those global travellers.
A waterproof pocket on the back of the bag (the side that will be nearest your body), is ideal for important documents - passport, tickets, etc. Inside you get a foam insert (remember this is supposed to be a camera bag) that will take an average SLR and a zoom lens. Take the insert out if you want and you have much more space for all the things/gadgets you need everyday, or on a flight - phone, ipod, maps, cables, book, camera, batteries.....
Overall, if you want a quality, stylish camera/manbag, this is hard to beat.

An incredible quality for the price. Very handy, sturdy, elegant and multipurpose bag (not necessarily for camera gear!). I could even fit my 12" laptop in there together with as an Olympus E-1 with 14-54mm and flash gun (provided the lens is not fitted on camera, though).
I would rate this Hadley Pro 5 stars. At a really good price, well at a bargain (reduced) price when I bought it in March from Amazon.co.uk!

I got one of these to carry my bits and pieces on the train to work - backpacks just look wrong with a suit, while courier bags don't appear particularly secure or weather-proof. My first impressions are that it is a really well thought-out, well made product. The size is large enough to carry the essentials, without being so big you are tempted to put too much in. Having said that, it seems strong enough to carry heavy loads, if you do want to fill it up.
It is not cheap, but when you see the quality you will see why. You are also paying for a high-quality, tailor made camera insert, which makes it a bit of a waste if you don't intend using it as a camera bag. I bought mine from Morris Photographic, which was a few pence more expensive than Amazon, but they also stocked the shoulder-pads. I'm still undecided as to whether these are worth the extra cost, although the quality is once again 1st class.
I have noticed that Barbour make something that looks almost identical to the Hadley Large, but I haven't seen one in the flesh, so I can't comment on the quality. If you want something with a document pocket and top carrying handle, you will not regret buying the Hadley Pro.
