4.0 out of 5 stars good but ive seen it all before 13 July 2006
Format:DVD
this dvd starts with some awsome big wave footage but from then on it just dosnt live up to this opening sequence. for people who have never seen big wave surfing before im sure this is a great place to start, but for surfers who have watched many surf flicks in those flat summer months this is nothing new. if you are in to a bit of a story about surfing and some pros charging big waves buy this, if you want a good surf movie with technical moves that you can try and copy in your next session dont bother. either way enjoy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cold Spice 9 Dec 2009
Format:DVD
Some ageing big wave surf specialists embark on a mission to find and ride the worlds biggest waves. The talent and courage of these chaps is mind blowing, as is the opening title sequence but, after that, its about as interesting as watching an old spice advert - again and again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best surf flick since endless summer 5 Jan 2005
Format:DVD
I bought this dvd and watch it with a bunch of mates. We all surf and have decided that it awesome!! The camera shots, the waves, the riders are all amazing. From start to finish this is an action packed film showing the biggest waves ridden by a group of surfers. Not only does the film show you them riding the waves it has the whole run up to them getting there. This includes there training(which is nuts), them travelling and the planning. If you are one of those people who like to see stacks as well this film has some of the biggest!! This is a must have for all surfers to add to there collection and even if you don't surf this is still a great flick.
Trust me we spent hours watching it over and over again, everytime you get more and more stoked to watch it again or just get out there.

Excellent movie with some luck thrown in for good measure, how lucky were Billabong to be filming when that landed?

This was made by someone who thinks he (or she) is a great film maker and has sold it as such to Billabong on the promise of it being epic, but it falls a long way short. Read more
