The long-lost Flower Pot Men, who many will remember fondly from their childhood, are back for a new generation of children to enjoy. The BBC's revival of this "Watch with Mother" classic has lost none of the original charm. Bill and Ben are as enthusiastic and playful as ever and have retained their unique "Flobbadobba" linguistic skills. Little Weed returns too, just as we remember her--carefully watching over our twin action heroes, guiding them, protecting them and of course interpreting Flobbadobba-ish for the benefit of the audience.
This time around, Bill and Ben are joined by a whole new set of garden friends. Slow Coach the tortoise, Scamper the Squirrel, Whoops the Worm, Whimsy the Spider and Bood the Hedgehog.
Join the Flower Pot Men and their friends for five separate 10-minute adventures in the garden. Watch Bill and Ben challenge Slow Coach to a nut-collecting contest and later rescue anxious Whimsy the Spider from a garden drainpipe.
Flobbadobba Fun features cute animation that can be enjoyed by children from 18 months to five years of age. The look and feel of the new Bill and Ben series is wonderfully close to the original, allowing today's pre-schoolers to enjoy a series that is a very special part of our television's heritage, while their parents can indulge in a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
This visual treat is an absolute must for a young family's video collection. -- Victoria Mackenzie
John Thomson narrates five adventures for Bill and Ben - the flowerpot men who have been revamped and repackaged for a new generation of youngsters. In 'Tortoise and the Pots', the duo challenge Slowcoach the tortoise to a nut-gathering contest. 'The Hottest Day' sees Bill and Ben trying to help Weed shelter from the sun, and in 'One of Our Spiders is Missing', Whimsy the spider becomes scared - but of what? 'Sticky Problem' finds the boys looking for a garden solution to a puzzle, while in 'Litterhog', Bill, Ben and their chums decide to have a litter-collecting competition.
