I already had a bike hoist for my daughter's 26" bike. Now that my son and I have bikes and living in a flat with no addtional storage it seemed only natural to obtain another couple of hoists.
I was first introduced to them in Europe a few years ago as my friends all have bikes over there. The device is absolutely brilliant!! You literally attach the hoist to the ceiling, feed the rope through and attach the bike and pull!! It's as simple as that. The space one saves having the bikes 'up in the ceiling' is all worth it. Perfectly safe and easy to use.
I highly recommend this product to anyone with limited storage space and at least a 24" bike.

Having previously bought a similar ceiling mount bike rack I was disappoint to find this one had to be assembled from scratch. The lifting mechanism does not have a locking rachet which means you have to lower or raise the bike in one movement. The screws to fit the attachement to a ceiling were un-usable.

Great, works well but the instructions are useless so took a while to work it out. Pictures on the instructions need to be clearer to show how to thread the rope through. easy to work out after a while but would have saved me half an hour if they had been ant good. otherwise the product is fantastic.
