I bought the book for my son, who's a confirmed Biggles fan, but it takes me back to the age of 12. Wonderfully politically incorrcect and all the better for it, Biggles sticks it to the Hun.
It makes me nostalgic for a simpler age when a stiff upper lip and the 'right stuff' would overcome all problems. Long live Biggles!

Biggles and the Black Peril is a super adveture story. Set after WW1, Biggles is out on a 'joy ride, lands in fog and becomes involved in a race to save the country from invasion.
This is the first Biggles book to feature 'Ginger'.

A good old-fashioned yarn. What a shame about the very poor editing - typos abound, and the footnotes appear within the page instead of at the end of the page or end of chapter. They got it right in others, pity they couldn't do so in this one.
