I can't put my finger on quite why i enjoyed this series, but i certainly did and I promise when I do know, you'll read it here first. Eerily, not only was I able to predict some of the punch lines, but I had also encountered most of the characters in previous sit-coms. Yet despite this and with story lines containing as many holes as an MP's heartfelt excuse for fleecing his or her constituents, there was never ever a danger of switching channels in favour of...for instance, learning how to be a 'good responsible parent' from someone with a squeaky clean CRB check or.... how to look totally gross, naked. Everyone was brilliant, funny, clever and memorable and importantly, the script hurt no one. I sincerely hope there is a series 2, but if not, i'll be ticking off the days on my calendar until September 20th when i can experience the whole series on dvd again and again and again.....
