Marc Blake has a thourough understanding of the workings of the brian of the average british villain...compelling reading for all who live 'Saarf of the river'

I was more than impressed by the intelligent, dry humour that was evident throughout this fast-paced, action-packed adventure. I will definitely buy Sunstroke as I suspect that not doing so would be a character flaw on my part.
Blake carries this novel off superbly, with multiple threads cleverly interwoven to keep you on the edge of your seat - steady though, all that laughing out loud will do one of two things: tip you over the edge, or convince fellow passengers on the tube / beach dwellers that you're completely nuts. Buy it, or miss out - the choice is yours.

In BigTime, Marc Blake dishes up a smorgasbord of vivid characters ranging from the desperate to the dangerous to the deliciously despicable. Their aspirations cause them to converge at an innocuous motorway service station for a mostly violent and wholly hilarious climax of comedic events. Well observed, well funny.

BLAKE GETS BETTER AND BETTER
I loved BIGTIME even better than SUNSTROKE which I really enjoyed in BIGTIME the writing is more mature, the characters more gritty and in my opinion hilarious. Read more
