The Big Scary Monster is a great little kids book. The Monster himself certainly shouldn't scare the little ones as he does the little creatures in the book. But I think his games should keep them entertained as it certainly has for my Son.
The moral of the story will certainly be lost on small readers but the other aspects of the story such as the difference between big and small will certainly be a help for some. That and they'll love shouting Booo! every few pages.
Great fun and slightly silly.
