Latest in a long line of AA atlases, the print is easy to read in dim light and the spiral binding makes it easy to open flat in the car.
Spiral bindings can shed pages like giant's dandruff but I've never found this to be an issue with the AA series.
One continuing niggle is that although a year number is prominently placed on the front cover, none of the Atlas publishers seem willing to publish the cartographers' survey date, which may be years prior to the "marketing date". I still have to resort to checking for inclusion of a recent road change that I happen to be aware of - haphazard and potentially misleading!

Bought this as a gift for an elderly relative who professed himself delighted with it. I can't say anything about the attached CD, although I imagine it is the usual AA promotional guff, but the maps were clear, and the scale and size of the pages means that you don't have to keep flicking between pages too often whilst driving ( at least your navigator doesn't!). One road atlas is much like another in my opinion, and this one does its job as well as any.

I was slightly disappointed because this was bigger than I expected and is quite floppy which makes it difficult to use in the car so I've since bought the black covered AA Road atlas (which I've had before) which I think is a better size and construction for the car and will use the "big" one at home.

Excellent service this book is clear to read, for my more mature eyes, and light enough to carry on days out.

Non appearance

good value
Like the scale and the spiral spine which should make it last. In spite of much packaging there was a small amount of damage at one corner which does not justify a return.

2011 Britain Big Atlas
A very easy to use map book. Good index and maps are very easy to read. The book itself is a bit large and not that easy to manage.

Excellent way for an on-the-road trip
Very clear atlas. We travelled from Scotland down to the South coast with absolutely no problems. Great deal.
