Best killer su doku book start to finish,
By Zoe "Zoe - puzzler" (Cornwall) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Big Book of Killer Su Doku (Paperback)
I have tried a number of su doku and killer su doku books and I find they let me down on the final pages - I don't agree philosophically with "branching," which is just guessing, when you get down to it. This book was a winner from the light-entertainment easy puzzles to the seriously challenging but eventually very doable hard puzzles. Not only do I recommend this book to any puzzle fan, I am buying a second copy for my dad! If you enjoy su doku, try killer - you'll never go back.

Excellent Killer Sudoku Puzzle Book,
This review is from: The Big Book of Killer Su Doku (Paperback)
Personally speaking, Killer Sudokus are a variation on the Sudoku puzzle theme which I find more interesting, and this is a really excellent book, thoroughly recommended to all like-minded puzzle addicts. It starts with around 10 pages of basic guidance re how to solve 'killer' puzzles, and the guidance is clear and easy to understand and this section should be useful for beginners. Then comes the meat of the book, with 200 puzzles of varying difficulty levels. It starts off with 'midi' puzzles (6 by 6) and then 'starter' 9 by 9 puzzles. Experienced solvers may want to skip these sections (especially the midi section) and start from puzzle 41. The puzzles then range from easy through moderate and hard up to challenging. And finally, there are a couple of 'monsters'. I'll let you buy the book to find out what these consist of!

Killer of all Killers,
By
This review is from: The Big Book of Killer Su Doku (Paperback)
Like many others who have posted here, once you start on killer there is no going back to normal su doku.So far I have bought the Times books 1 and 2 and this one - and I have to say this is the best and most challenging of them all - though the second Times book is good too and I see a third one has just been released yesterday. My wife will not be pleased....
