FIrst heard this via the track suit & tie and I love this album. Think m83 meets pulsing drums and rythms. Its addictively catchy stuff. Awesome!

I have given this a 5 star rating for a simple reason, and that is that there is not a track on this album I don't enjoy :) Has an 80's theme throughout and I loved it. Bought it for my dads birthday and was glad to see it in his car playing it on the way to work :D

What a find! I'm completely addicted to this brilliant debut album by Big Black Delta.
Touches of euro-clash,Depeche Mode-isms and crunching deep basslines. The melodies are really gorgeously realised leaving little room for any way to improve because all that's needed is there.
Really needs some good promotion though!
Definitely one of my albums of the year, along with Goldfrapps latest offering,'Tales Of Us' and John Grants,'Pale Green Ghosts'. Yes,that good!

Fresh 10 May 2013

As a man who likes all kinds of music, I found this to be something fresh and new. Hearing influences from Peter Gabriel to Kavinsky, I was looking for something different and I believe I found it

Such a deep and unique sound. Retro and Futuristic. 30 April 2013
By Bill Rogers - Published on Amazon.com
This album has been my favorite sound for a long time now, and in constant rotation. Most of the songs have been out in some form for about a year now, but the added new tracks round the whole thing out as a proper release. Thick keyboards and girthy basslines contrasted and complimented by melodic and haunting, almost 1980's vocal stylings. It's such a unique new sound, but reminds me of an early 80's re-imagined and reinvented, in the best way. Pulsing, pounding, atmospheric, and beautiful. Start at track 1 and let it take you somewhere -you haven't heard anything like this.

Great album! 17 May 2013

This is really a great album! Awesome electric sounds and to me kind of a mix of Pink Floyd meets Depeche mode with a dash of Nine Inch Nails grittiness. It really grows on you the more you listen to it. They have a great new sound and I love it!
80s reimagined 21 Aug 2014

How do I love Big Black Delta, let me count the ways. I first found them through a music blog which posted "Huggin & Kissin", moved on to the EP from there, and was pleased when I heard they were putting out a full length. (The new tracks are definitely worth a second purchase)
As the other reviews mentioned, BBD is simultaneously retro and modern. The biggest influence to me is 80s synth/new wave, but the sound is updated and hard to describe- to me is like being in the basement of your favorite goth night blasting your favorite song while you're pleasantly drunk. Some of the lyrics make me roll my eyes a bit, but the music more than makes up for it. I'm a big fan of the 80s-style synth revival that seems to still be going on, but I like how BBD draws off many influences. (I especially love the Pink Floydishness of "Side of the Road") I love this album.
A Synth Pop Gem 20 Oct 2014

Some of the lyrics and content aren't exactly for polite company, but this is pop art with a heavy dose of synth. At times I'm reminded of tight alternative pop circa 1990 with updated sounds, but this is a modern take -- make no mistake.

Money Rain Down tends to stick in the head, which is a testament to the artful pop writing, but it's not an unpleasant 'stuck in my head' feeling which is a testament to the quality of the effort.

I'm certain a few of these tracks will continue to randomly pop into my head for decades even if I stop listening, but why would I?
