Here is a woman with an incredible talent. She is a role-model for not only girls but boys as well; through her amazing talent which is the gift of making genuinely amazing songs. Why? Honesty! Any fan of at least one Bif Naked song and an interest in her career most likely knows something about this woman'a life, for those who haven't, then just listen to the lyrics because this is no album like a manufactured pop band! This is one woman, Bif and her band creating music that is straight from the heart (without the cheesey lyrics and cliches); it is more biographical. Bif Naked is more interested in singing about the truth and experience, facing the listener on an intelectual level.
Its music that is easy to listen to, and even music we can relate to.
For example, divorce is an issue Bif raises in 'Daddy's getting married' and issues of sexual abuse in 'Tell On You'.
In short, all are good songs and I don't need to give a one-by-one description of each track because each one is brilliant in it's own right, including the spoken-word track 'The Gross, Gross Man'.
I highly recommend this CD and also 'I Bificus' and the latest album 'Purge'!
